Sake Society Vol. 1
Sake Society Vol. 1 - The Many Faces of Sake
A monthly tasting at KOME exploring the techniques, ingredients, styles, and stories behind Japan’s most fascinating drink.
Each session brings a small group of guests around the bar for a guided tasting of exceptional bottles, often including sakes that never appear on the regular menu.
Seats are extremely limited and released first to members of the KOME Sake Society mailing list.

Kushiyaki Nights
For two nights only, we’re dedicating the menu entirely to kushiyaki : kushikatsu and yakitori cooked over binchotan and served izakaya-style.
Expect favourite cuts, a few rare skewers, and a focused, high-energy grill menu. Our regular menu will be paused for the event.

Hanami Onigiri
When the cherry blossoms return to The Meadows, we’ll be celebrating the way we know best.
For Hanami season, we’re preparing a selection of freshly made onigiri, simple, traditional, and perfect for sharing.
Available to enjoy in the venue or to take away alongside a bottle of sake or one of our cocktails for an afternoon under the trees.
In Japan, Hanami is about slowing down, gathering with friends, and appreciating the fleeting beauty of the season.
We’re bringing a little of that ritual to our corner of Edinburgh.
KFC Nights
Kome Fried Chicken Nights
In Japan, Christmas means fried chicken, shared, indulgent, and a little bit joyful.
For three nights only, we’re bringing that tradition to KOME.
On 21st, 22nd & 23rd December, our kitchen will be fully taken over by Kome Fried Chicken: golden, crispy chicken served izakaya-style, alongside a vegan option designed with the same care.
There’ll be no regular menu on these nights , just fried chicken done properly, plenty of drinks flowing, and the kind of lively, cosy atmosphere we love.
Limited portions available each night. Come hungry. Reservations recommended.
